Last Day of School Celebration

All us girls (Iza, Ina, Tamiko, Megan, Melissa, Amanda, Christina, and Kelsi) this semester for the last day of school after we finished all our finals took puri kura pictures at Denen and Melissa, Iza, and i just realized that the booths are perfect dance floors because of the amazingly exiting music.

Kelsi and Melissa Send off

We prayed for Kelsi and Melissa (in between Tamiko and Pastor Tommy) as they are the only students who went back to the states after the semester ended. The girls' D house definitely is emptier without them. They will be sorely missed and will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Barrios Goodbye

The Barrios family have been a definite blessing and addition to the church family here in CC Ginowan they will be leaving this week so the church had a potluck or going away party for them on Sunday after service. Dave and Liz have been a beautiful couple who both have amazing testimonies of what the Lord has done in their lives in bringing them to him and have been led by the Lord. They're beautiful kids are Julia, Alondra, and Niko who are so very adorably hilarious. We're going to miss spunky girl and our Lilo and Stitch.

Baptism

One of the Marines, Josh, at Futenma Chapel (where Eder usually minsters at) got baptized this Saturday at Sunset beach. Praise the Lord for His transforming power it was a blessing for all the Bible college to support Josh in his public proclamation for the inward change.

Beach hang out

Melody Janssen and her friend Avery from Indiana came to hang out with us, take puri kura with us at Mihama then swim with Kelsi and me at Sunset beach for the afternoon on Saturday after the women's breakfast. They're very cute and we had fun.

Woman's Breakfast

We had a women's breakfast this past Saturday where my mom taught and Yumi translated. She showed a couple of Izak's videos like the harvest, light in the darkness, and the good helper. She taught on Matt 9:37 talking about how the harvest is plentiful but the laborers are few. It was a good breakfast we are so blessed to have amazing cooks.

Graduation

Last Thursday we had the Graduation ceremony for the graduates this semester, Iza, Rusty, and Nate.It was a good night they all got dressed up in kimonos for it. They looked great Naoko-san, Kayo. Joanna, and Megan did a great job in dressing them all up. They all have amazing futures ahead of them as they have finished this stepping stone in their lives.

Finals Week

It's finally finals week here at CCBC Okinawa, Japan we are right in the middle of it. Fo JApanesse class we broke up into three teams to make a skit for a part of our final and here is my favorite group. It was pikachu's birthday (played by Megan Silva) and Caterpi(played by Iza Amargo) and the Professor (played by Dean Pera) were having a birthday party. They prayed for the food and read john 3:16 but the professor told them that Pokemon can't get saved. and that's how it ended. Melissa, Ma, and my group went to Disneyland and Melissa got saved. While, Kelsi, Dave, and Izak had a underlying Spiritual message in their skit.

Dundees and The Grill for Macaroni

We had a blast and chub out time today for lunch at the Macaroni Grill for our semester banquet. We got all dressed up and had some awesome Parmesan Chicken and fried mozzarella stuff with pesto on it and calamari and cheesecake for dessert and chocolate cake. While there were the awards being given out that were similar to the Dunder Mifflen Dundee Awards. Just for an example, i got the explosive award (or something to that affect) for being able to erupt (both ways). Anyways, Twas a good time. We also got to see what spiritual gifts that our peers have seen in us and voted for us.

Michal's Party

Michal just turned 13 on the 8th so we celebrated at the Ruiz house on Saturday. We let her borrow one of the dresses my mom got us in the Philippines she looked fabulous in it. We had an awesome time. Especially because it was an only girls party and we had air bands... check it out.

Kayo's Sweet Revenge

Here's a taste of what Daniel used to do to our poor Kayo.

Finally,It's taken a good while but she finally scared Daniel. Come watch the after party.

See Ya!

Daniel is leaving to go back to Korea so he had to say goodbye to Joel in the best way he knew he could.

Worship Conference

We had the Worship conference during Golden Week it was a good time for reminding and refreshing. A few pastors from mainland Japan came like Pastor Travis Takimiya and Dan Bollinger. It was a blessing to hear the practical side of worship and see the practical applied in worship. We also got to hear from Hakugaijin (persecuted foreigner) Tim and Ayu Newell's band. They are rapping and singing for Christ. The rest of the band is: Rob Wunderlich on lead guitar;Andrew Neely on bass; Hannah Ruiz on the cajon; and Daniel Sedota on back up vocals and guitar. They did concerts everyday during golden week. We definitely are glad for their first cd that's come out. It was a blessing for everyone for sure.

Monkeys in a Tree

This past Sunday Melissa, and I went out with the twins (Rin n Augoo), Tokito and his sister Kiki, and Izak to the park where we went down the awesome slide and climbed trees and played tag. Those kids are so cool. Tokito takes care of Rin and Aug as ifthey were his own kids and he's just like that good big brother to Kiki (because they are brother and sister).

Piggin' Out

We went to Bambohe a yaki niku this past Saturday.
It was buffet where you could grill as much meat as you want on your own table. The catch was that you had about an hour and a half to chub. Kelsi and i just kept going and going. You could ask Tamiko and Melissa how we asked them to not make us laugh because it hurt so much. But that was a good little Okinawan buffet experience for sure.
