"Booger Fruit"

This fruit is called maracuya it is a native Peruvian fruit. It is very sour and tangy and has a very tropical type fruit taste to it. A few of the missionaries who came here and tried the fruit have called it booger fruit because of it's apparent similarity in texture. Lauren and I enjoyed it very much especially because of how cheap produce in Peru sells for.

  1. in some places it is also known as passion fruit, or mirinda fruit - can be mixed in water (some varieties are maroon on the outside), strain the seeds out (or not... strain through your teeth, he,he--fun!...) sugar optional... like lemonade
(if you allow it to ripen - some varieties are sweet!)... experiment -mix with other fruit juices!!! isn't God so creative! ... i wonder how they got to Okinawa and the Philippines?
